One of my 2020 projects was photographing Irish dancers from my daughters' studio, Hooley Irish Dance. With the pandemic closing the studio for months and cancelling all the competitions, the kids were able to put on costumes and shoes and we had some fun sessions in various outdoor locations in the area.
These dresses are custom made for each dancer by the fabulous dress designer Craig Mason of Open Wings in England.
Craig danced in the Riverdance and is also a teacher and owner of a dance school.
Several of these girls, including my daughter Olivia (left) and Mia (right), were supposed to compete at the World Championships in April, sadly cancelled and on hold right now in 2021.
With classes on Zoom and practicing at home, the girls were all happy to get back into the studio this fall
and prepare for the 2021 season. Fingers crossed!
